Bowling visitor missing from home

by isleofman.com 10th November 2008
Police are appealing for help in tracing a regular visitor to the Isle of Man who has been missing from his home in Stockport for three months.

Sixty-nine year-old David Phillips, of Heaton Moor, was last seen by friends at the beginning of September.

His family became concerned after not hearing from him for some time and called police at the end of last month.

Mr Phillips is described as being abour five feet, eight inches in height, of slim build with short, dark hair.

He is a keen crown-green bowler who usually visits the Island and Blackpool twice a year to watch and play in tournaments.

Police say they are increasingly concerned for his welfare as he has never been known to go missing before.

Anyone with information can call Police Headquarters in Douglas on 631212, Greater Manchester Police on 0161 872 5050 or the anonymous Crimestoppers line, on 0800 555 111.
