Firework patrols a success

Extra patrols of police and fire officers around bonfire night appear to have paid dividends.

The Isle of Man Constabulary and the Fire and Rescue Service say this year saw a dramatic reduction in incidents of anti-social behaviour.

As well as the extra patrols, there were visits to shops to make sure fireworks weren't being sold to anybody who was under age.

Acting Sergeant Rosie Hawes (pictured, far right) says the message seems to be getting across:
