Minister pleased with allotment interest

The agricultural minister is encouraged by the response to plans to release seven acres of land for allotments at the Braaid in Braddan.

Over 100 people crammed into the village hall for a meeting at the weekend, hosted by local farmer Howard Quayle who is making the land available.

Phil Gawne (pictured) says it reflects an ever increasing interest in food and where it's produced:
