Board of Education has new member

The Ramsey seat on the Board of Education is no longer empty, following the appoinment of a new member.

Steven Bevan (pictured) will hold the seat until June next year, when the board will be replaced by an Education Council.

Mr Bevan is already involved with the associations of all three Ramsey schools and is treasurer of "The Shed", a young people's project used by about 160 youths each week.

The board selected Mr Bevan through interview, when no one came forward for election:
