The new president of the United States and comments made about the Isle of Man by the United Kingdom Chancellor of the Exchequer are two of the issues which will be raised in Tynwald next week.
There are 24 questions for oral answer, the majority of which focus in some way on financial matters and the Island's status as a reputable place to do business.
North Douglas MHK Bill Henderson has seven questions relating to financial issues.
He will ask about the Island's presence on the "grey list" of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development, and call for a statement about the ongoing negotiations between the Manx government and UK authorities over the Kaupthing Singer and Friedlander affair.
Mr Henderson is also looking for a statement from the chief minister about the likely policy of the US government regarding tax havens.
David Callister MLC wants the treasury minister to assure Tynwald that a proactive approach will be taken with the new US administration to ensure the Island's position as a financial centre is secured.
Meanwhile, Michael member David Cannan is still worried about the fallout from Alistair Darling's
comments and wants to know how successful this week's meetings in London have been in addressing the situation.
There are also questions on powers available to the government to withdraw the Island from having to pay the TV licence fee.
Question time will get under way at 10.30am next Tuesday and there will be full, live coverage on Manx Radio's AM 1368 frequency.
