Record-breaker Cummins takes Macau pole

by isleofman.com 14th November 2008
Conor Cummins is in pole position for tomorrow's Macau Grand Prix after producing a stunning ride to take the second qualifying session.

The 22-year-old Ramsey rider finished almost half a second ahead of Michael Rutter, who'd come first in both the free practice and first qualifying sessions.

Conor's best lap was 2:26.580, a new lap record and over four seconds quicker than his first outing.

A trio of fellow TT competitors, Cameron Donald, John McGuinness and Ian Hutchinson make up the top five on the grid.
