Prestigious award for KWC

by isleofman.com 14th November 2008
King William's College is celebrating winning a major accolade today.

The school in Casltetown has scooped the title International Baccalaureate School of the Year in a survey to be published in this weekend's Sunday Times.

The award, in the Parent Power guide, has been introduced to recognise the increasing number of schools which offer the IB as an alternative to A Levels.

Recent IB results have lifted King William's more than 90 places in the Sunday Times league table of independent schools, from 313th last year to 221st place this year.

In this year's exams more than half the students were awarded the top two grades.
