Local bands boost funds for charities

An annual one day music event made more than ?13,000 for Isle of Man charities this year.

The Manx Charity Aid fund raiser is staged during TT week, when local bands take part in an all day festival.

This year the money will go to a number of causes including Breakthrough Breast Cancer, the Alzheimers Society and Victim Support.

Preparations are already well under way for next year's event, and organiser Tina Edge is keen to hear from anyone who would like to be involved:
