RBSI redundancies statement

by isleofman.com 14th November 2008
The Royal Bank of Scotland International has issued a statement in response to an enquiry from Manx Radio about whether the offshore operation will be affected by large scale redundancies within the group.

The RBS is cutting around 3,000 jobs worldwide

The statement says the RBS continues to review its business in the light of market conditions.

It says the group will shape its business locally, as it always does, to reflect both its efficient operating model and the market opportunities it faces.

The Royal Bank of Scotland International's Manx operation is based at Royal Bank House, in Victoria Street, Douglas.

The Royal Bank of Scotland Group owns RBS International, the National Westminster Bank and the Isle of Man Bank.
