Redundancies at newspaper

by isleofman.com 19th November 2008
Six advertising type-setters at Isle of Man Newpapers have left the company today.

The redundancies were announced three weeks ago, when it was explained the work would be moving to a processing centre in Preston, owned by parent company Johnston Press.

It's understood those laid off include long serving members of staff, with over 20 years experience.

Isle of Man Newspapers has said type-setting of editorial material for its three titles won't be affected and the papers will continue to be printed in Douglas.
