Drug charge after arrest near prison

A woman who was stopped by police close to the new prison at Jurby (pictured) has been charged with possessing of Class A drugs with intent to supply.

The 20 year-old was approached by officers and prison staff on Tuesday, and the drugs were found after a search was carried out.

Police say they are committed to reducing the supply and use of controlled drugs in the Isle of Man.
