Thriller ends all square

by isleofman.com 16th November 2008
A six goal thriller and honours even as the match of the day in the Mixed Premier Division ended in a 3-3 draw.

Valkyrs A and reigning champions Bacchas A couldn’t be separated after a ding-dong battle.

And there was no doubting the star of the show as Dave Kneale grabbed a hat-trick for Bacchas, who led twice before netting a late equaliser.

Valkyrs twice fought back through Chris Caldwell and Andrea Kneen before Caldwell put them in front only for Kneale to come up trumps again with the equaliser.

The result would have pleased Falcons who thrashed Bacchas B 6-0, courtesy of a Connor Byrne hat-trick, a Kim Carney double and a Dave Millward goal.

A three-way battle for the title remains a close call.

At the other end, Phoenix A battled hard but are doomed to relegation after a 2-0 defeat to Ramsey A.
