Attempted murder charges withdrawn

Police have withdrawn three charges of attempted murder against a Ramsey man, but he will still be tried for another nine offences.

Twenty-three year-old Gary King of Windsor Mount was committed to the Court of General Gaol by High Bailiff Michael Moyle.

He is charged with four assaults causing actual bodily harm, twice threatening death or serious injury, destroying property, and two offences of possessing drugs.

All the offences were allegedly committed between September last year and August this year.

He was bailed in the sum of ?1,000 with a surety of ?2,000.

Reporting restrictions were not lifted.
