An MHK wants a full statement from the chief minister on the Kaupthing Singer and Friedlander affair.
North Douglas member Bill Henderson will make the request in Tynwald today.
He is concerned people aren't being given enough information and told Manx Radio:
"The government has been issuing press releases, but at times these have been very clipped, giving very little away other than 'things are progressing and just watch this space'.
"I think it's high time the Manx prime minister was nailed and hopefully he will make as detailed a statement as he can for people, so they can uderstand exactly what's going on, whether it be good, bad or indifferent."
In a recent update to depositors with Kaupthing Singer and Friedlander, provisional liquidator Mike Simpson said negotiations to try to sell the bank were continuing, although confidentiality prevented him giving any more details.
At the end of last month, Treasury Minister Allan Bell said he hoped all, or most, of the ?860 million of Kaupthing Singer and Friedlander Isle of Man deposits, frozen in London by the UK government under anti-terrorism laws, would be recovered. He also hoped there would be be no need to activate the recently enhanced Isle of Man Depositors' Protection Scheme.
A High Court petition to wind-up the bank has been adjourned until the end of this month, to allow more time for negotiations.
