Shelter for homeless opens its doors

by isleofman.com 18th November 2008

The homeless charity Kemmyrk starts its winter programme this evening.

From today, Kingswood House in Harris Terrace, Douglas will provide overnight accommodation for up to eight men aged 18 to 25.

The facility will be open from 8pm, with the last admission two hours later.

The charity has been overwhelmed by local support - from companies, social services and individuals - but still hopes to encourage more people to come forward as volunteers.

For further information email fiona.robinson2@gov.im or ring her on 685121.
