New training courses for nurses

A new training programme for mental health nurses will be introduced in the Isle of Man from next year.

It will be offered at degree level and will begin with a one year foundation course, before students branch out into their chosen speciality areas.

Senior lecturer in mental health Julie Bailey-McHale says the Island needs more qualified staff:
