Man charged with drug dealing in jail

A prisoner accused of possessing drugs with intent to supply has been committed to a Court of General Gaol Delivery.

Thirty year-old John Alan Johnson of the prison appeared before High Bailiff Michael Moyle charged with possessing diamorphine and possessing diazepam with intent to supply.

Both offences were allegedly committed in the jail.

Mr Johnson was remanded in custody and reporting restrictions were not lifted.
