The Isle of Man's director of social services says the whole community has a responsibility to care for children.
Andrew Swithinbank says everybody should look out for vulnerable youngsters and not be afraid to speak out.
His comments come in the wake of the Baby P tragedy in England, which has led to stinging criticism for Haringey Council over its handling of the case.
