There's another chance this evening for hauliers to air their views on plans which would require them to have a licence to operate.
Some haulage companies say smaller firms could be forced out of business by proposed regulations.
The Department of Transport wants to introduce a new HGV Operator Licence for goods vehicles weighing over three-and-a-half tons and, after a series of public meetings, a further consultation will take place at Keyll Darree lecture theatre at Noble’s Hospital, at 7pm.
Department chiefs say the licensing system would ensure higher standards of maintenance for heavy goods vehicles and make the Island's roads safer.
Copies of a consultation document are available from reception at the Sea Terminal, from www.gov.im/highways/consultations or by ringing 685010 and asking for Chris Hannon.
Hauliers have until December 17 to make their submissions.
