Children thrilled with their new school

A 'once in a lifetime occasion'.

That was the verdict of staff and pupils at Ramsey's new junior school, Scoill Ree Gorree, after yesterday's official opening by Chief Minister Tony Brown.

The school completes the town's education campus on Lezayre Road, which includes Auldyn Infants and Ramsey Grammar School.

All the pupils took part in the opening, with the older ones giving VIP tours of the ultra-modern and hi-tech building.

Having moved from the 100 year-old school in nearby Albert Road, these year five children are really enjoying the modern new environment (play attached audio file):
