Douglas man has operation - next 24 hours critical

by isleofman.com 25th November 2008
The next 24 hours are going to be critical for Douglas man Michael Bellis (pictured).

The 29-year-old has today undergone a seven-and-half hour operation to remove a brain tumour.

There have been months of fund-raising on the Island to raise thousands of pounds for the treatment.

His twin brother Luke says it's amazing to reach this point, because 15 months ago they were told nothing could be done for Michael.

This afternoon Luke told Manx Radio Michael was doing well after the surgery: (audio clip attached)
