by isleofman.com 26th November 2008
A 25 year-old man has denied two charges of wounding with intent to murder.

Christopher William Scatchard, whose address was given as care of the prison, was charged with wounding Christopher Crellin and Andrew Newbold with intent to murder when he appeared before Deemster Doyle at a court of General Gaol Delivery.

Both offences are alleged to have been committed on April 18, 2008.

Michelle McBirnie, 29, care of David Gray House, denied assisting an offender, Christopher William Scatchard, knowing or believing he had committed an arrestable offence by concealing or destroying evidence.

Mr Scatchard was remanded in custody until December 8 for a trial date.

A bail application was refused by Mr Doyle.

Miss McBirnie was bailed until December 8, also for a trial date to be fixed.
