Woolworths set for administration

The Trade and Industry Minister has promised to help Woolworths employees on the Isle of Man if they lose their jobs as a result of the chain going into administration.

Woolworths has been struggling under a huge debt, its problems compounded in recent months as credit lines were closed and the company was forced to pay cash for its supplies.

David Cretney says his department will do everything they can once the picture becomes clearer (audio file attached):
