Islands find common ground

After UK Chancellor Alistair Darling (pictured) announced his review into the Crown Dependencies this week, the Channel Islands have been giving their reaction.

Jersey has adopted the Manx stance, welcoming the chance to prove it’s a well-regulated jurisdiction, while Guernsey’s politicians have reacted more forcefully.

Senior figures from both Channel Islands are in London today (Thursday), where they’ll discuss the issue with Treasury Minister Allan Bell before meeting representatives from the UK.
