Review to help fight financial turbulence

The details of the scope of the UK Treasury review into the offshores is being firmed up and won't be known for a couple of days.

The prospect of such a review was flagged up in Alistair Darling's pre-budget speech this week.

Treasury Minister Allan Bell says Manx government officials have been told the aim is make sure the jurisdictions are sufficiently robust to stand up to the turbulence in the financial markets (audio file attached):
