DTI consults on work permit reforms

The next steps towards modernising aspects of work permit legislation have been made.

The Department of Trade and Industry has released a consultation document following last year’s work permit review.

Whilst the regulations have not been amended since 1995, Minister David Cretney says the economy has moved on.

And he believes Island workers are afforded enough protection (audio file attached):
