Police appeal to Mona Drive motorist

by isleofman.com 2nd December 2008
Police are appealing to a motorist, suspected of deliberately driving his car at a constable in the early hours of Saturday morning, to get in touch.

At this stage they have no idea what possessed him to take such drastic action, and say they need to speak to him to get his side of the story.

Officers have ruled out a link with the big drug seizure on Friday night, but chief inspector Peter Young (pictured) says they are treating it as a very serious incident (play attached audio file):

The driver of the car is described as white and about 30 years old. He is clean shaven and dark haired, with his hair coming to a point at the front.

Anybody who thinks they might know who he is should ring Police Headquarters on 631212 or the anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111.
