Police have arrested a man on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with an incident on Saturday in which a police constable was hit by a car.
The man, who is local, was detained in the early hours of yesterday morning and is being held at Police Headquarters in Douglas.
PC Andy Morgan (pictured) is recovering at home after being treated for a broken collarbone and extensive lacerations and abrasions.
