A substantial reduction in the cost of gas this winter is being welcomed by an elderly person's charity in the Isle of Man.
Age Concern says many senior citizens will be relieved to hear of the price reduction, due to take effect on December 18.
From that day, the cost of LPG will be reduced by nearly two pence a unit, or between 23 and 26 per cent. At the same time, the price of natural gas is coming down by just over a penny a unit, which works out as around 15 per cent.
