Get drink-drivers before me quickly - Moyle

by isleofman.com 5th December 2008
The High Bailiff has told police he wants drink drivers arrested during the Christmas and New Year period to be brought to court without delay.

Michael Moyle made his comments in open court the day after this year's Christmas anti-drink driving campaign got underway.

In previous years many of those caught during the month-long clampdown haven't appeared in court until early in the New Year.

The campaign, launched at the Sea Terminal on Monday, is promising a "Merry Christmas and a sorry New Year" for anyone caught drink driving during the holiday period.
