Hockey race remains a thriller

by isleofman.com 8th December 2008
The bid to become the inaugural winners of the Mixed Premier League remains a three-way battle.

That’s after the top three won well on Saturday.

Reigning champions Bacchas A overcame bogey side Ramsey A 5-2, courtesy of strikes from Dave Kneale (two), Andy Bridson, Sharon Pope and Karl Moore.

The prolific Ollie Webster netted both for Ramsey.

Falcons romped to victory against bottom club Phoenix.

Dave Millward hit a hat-trick in an 11-0 rout with Conor Byrne (two), Andy Harding (two), Neil Crowe, Hayley Crowe, Karen Faragher and Kim Carney getting the others.

And Valkyrs A were too strong for Bacchas B with a comprehensive 5-1 victory.

Gareth Morris (two) led the scoring with Chris Caldwell, Andrea Kneen and Greg Miller netting the others.

Anna Bowen notched the Bacchas reply.
