Tribute paid to Glen Vine woman

by isleofman.com 8th December 2008
The inquest of a woman killed in a freak accident has heard she died from respiratory failure due to serious injuries.

The court heard Susan Elizabeth Howe of Glen Vine Park was crushed by her Citroen Berlingo after the vehicle rolled back and trapped her under the engine.

Coroner Michael Moyle said the emergency services were called at around 9 am on November 28 after she became trapped under the car.

It was heard she had got out of the vehicle to de-ice her car but the handbrake was not fully applied.

She was taken to hospital but declared dead.

Mr Moyle said Mrs Howe was a very generous and well loved person and he expressed his sincere condolences to the family.
