Pedestrian still 'serious' in hospital

by isleofman.com 8th December 2008
A 35 year-old Douglas woman remains seriously ill in the Intensive Care Unit at Noble's Hospital after being involved in a collision with a car on Saturday morning.

She was walking along Westmoreland Road, near the junction with Circular Road at 7.45 when the incident occurred.

Police want to speak to anyone who was in Westmoreland Road at the time, who may have seen the woman walking from the area of the old hospital towards the junction.

Officers particularly want to hear from the driver of a green hatchback-style vehicle who may have witnessed the collision, or driven past the scene shortly afterwards.

The woman is described as being about five feet tall and was wearing dark trousers and a light-coloured coat.
