An MHK says he is "flabbergasted" that he is the only person who will be asking questions in Tynwald next week about the United Kingdom review into offshore financial centres.
North Douglas member Bill Henderson has five questions on the subject for Tuesday's sitting.
He will ask about the factors driving the UK to undertake the investigation, the implications for the Isle of Man and the extent to which the Island is seen to be a fiscal and economic threat to the UK and United States.
The initial findings of the review are expected to be ready in time for next year's UK budget, with fuller conclusions published later in 2009.
Mr Henderson (pictured) maintains the Island is being intimidated unnecessarily by UK officials and told Manx Radio:
"What we have here is bullying Britain at its worst, acting in a thuggish manner towards a well regulated, well respected finance jurisdiction.
"The UK government know that we tick all the 'quality boxes' in respect of our finance jurisdiction - we've got the Standard and Poor's ratings, we've got the IMF ratings (and) we passed the Edwards Review a few years ago, which was foisted upon us."
