Anniversary to celebrate in Kirk Michael

A sheltered housing complex in Kirk Michael, has reached a landmark today.

Cannan Court was opened ten years ago by William and Susan Scholl and consists of ten double apartments and eight single ones.

Its total cost was ?1.6 million, which consisted of a government grant, fundraising and a ?300,000 mortgage.

Attending the anniversary celebration this afternoon will be the Lieutenant Governor and Lady Haddacks, President of Tynwald Noel Cringle and his wife, and Michael MHK David Cannan, among others.

Mr Cannan (pictured) is delighted the anniversary has been reached and says there's another reason to celebrate:
