Ballasalla youngsters offer festive help

Some of the Island's elderly residents will be receiving an extra present this Christmas, thanks to Ballasalla Primary School.

Year five and six pupils prepared food parcels with the help of the police to distribute amongst the needy.

Shoprite delivered the food to the school yesterday (Friday) morning and the pupils put 100 packages together in record time.

Chief Constable Mike Langdon even dropped in to help out.

Sergeant Phil Drowley believes it's important for the police to work closely with young people on the Isle of Man (audio file attached):
