The Department of Transport will face a vote of no confidence in Tynwald next week over the way it handled the linkspan user agreement with the Steam Packet Company.
Onchan MHK and Liberal Vannin Party leader Peter Karran (pictured) will table the motion, which attacks the department over the ferry contract.
Mr Karran says he’s not critical of the Steam Packet because he understands it’s a commercial company trying to turn a profit.
But he accuses the DoT of dropping the ball when it came to negotiating a way of overseeing the agreement (audio file attached):
