Government sanctions update

by isleofman.com 8th January 2009
The Manx Government has updated its sanctions regime against the Taliban and Al Qaeda.

There are seven updates to individuals and organisations which are thought to have links to terror organisations, all of whom appear on a United Nations watchlist.

They include the Al Taqwa Bank based in the Bahamas and a Liechtenstein company which has been liquidated and removed from the commercial register.

It’s illegal to do business with anybody on the list, and if you have assets or accounts belonging to anybody named on it, you should contact Customs and Excise immediately.

For more details, you can visit the government’s website, gov.im
