Minister pleased with new air link

Aer Arann's first passenger service from the Isle of Man to London City took off from Ronaldsway this morning.

Thirty-eight passengers were offered a champagne breakfast before the inaugural flight, at 8.25am.

Among the passengers were the company's CEO Paul Schutz, Transport Minister David Anderson and Trade and Industry Minster David Cretney.

Before the flight, Mr Cretney (pictured) explained why the route was important for business on the Island:
