A scheme which introduces secondary school pupils to commercial and entrepreneurial skills has been given a ?10,000 boost by AXA Isle of Man.
The company donated the money to the Junior Achievement programme, a registered charity which teaches business, citizenship, ethics and career development to students.
The Isle of Man programme has run for more than 25 years and is best known for its company scheme where pupils set up their own businesses and compete to be the best such company in Europe.
AXA’s Managing Director Mike Foy said the scheme was chosen for the donation because it prepared the Island’s youth for the realities of the business world.
