Breakfast with Jeavon and Claudette

Lloyds TSB senior economist Jeavon Lolay will be the guest speaker at the bank’s annual second breakfast briefing in the Island on Wednesday morning.

The seminar, at the Claremont Hotel in Douglas, will also be addressed by Claudette Ebanks.

Mr Lolay has been with Lloyds TSB Financial Markets for 13 years after spending the majority of his working life at Lloyds TSB Group Economic Research.

Claudette Ebanks joined Lloyds TSB Financial Markets in 2004. She is currently assisting agricultural and offshore customers to manage financial risks within their businesses.

Her background includes working with global, large and commercial customers, assisting with financial risk management of interest rates, foreign exchange rates, inflation and commodities.

The focus for the seminar will be on economic and financial aspects.

Individually Jeavon and Claudette will be focusing on their specific areas which will include: the impact of the credit crisis and the outlook for the world economy, the credit and housing markets, how the UK is dealing with the recession compared to other countries, foreign exchange and how to mitigate the risk of inflation, as well as the current interest rate fluctuations.

Aimed specifically at corporates and high net-worth individuals, the seminar starts at 7.30am.
