Minister not surprised by RBSI news

Trade and Industry Minister David Cretney says there are still professional, well-paid jobs available in the Isle of Man, despite the announcement of layoffs at RBS International.

He says he hopes people will consider retraining as necessary to find work in the Island’s diverse economy.

On Mandate PM, Mr Cretney told Jason Roberts today’s news was no great surprise, given the group’s well-publicised difficulties in the UK:
