Becoming a Chartered Manager can not only transform your career and the way you work but also your organisation. Whatever sector you are working in, you can embark on the Chartered Management process.
That's the message of the next Chartered Management Institute talk, which focuses on the process and benefits of obtaining this premier management qualification. Taking place on 16th March at the Hilton Hotel, the event will be lead by Chairman Designate of the local branch, Craig Allen.
Craig (pictured) started his career in the Royal Air Force before deciding to settle on the Island in 1988 to take up a role in the Finance Sector. A Chartered Manager who has held senior roles in both banking and life assurance, Craig has over 20 years' experience (eight of them as a Senior Manager) in Operational and Customer Service Management roles. He has experience of managing multi-jurisdictional and international teams across different locations and has delivered a number of workshops on Inspirational Leadership.
Craig will demonstrate that Chartered Manager status is the hallmark of the true professional manager. It recognises managers who have demonstrated the positive impact of their contribution at work and who are actively engaged in improving their knowledge and skills. As a result, Chartership is viewed by many employers as a mark of quality assurance, a standard of best practice.
Attendance at this event qualifies for recognition under the Continuing Professional Development Programme, and a CPD certificate will be given to each attendee who gives their details to Carol Jempson at the event. Following the talk, the Hilton will serve an optional three-course dinner for ?19.50. The lecture itself is free and open to all but notification is appreciated. Call Mike Kermode on 813734 or email mikekermode@manx.net to confirm attendance (including whether you wish to remain for the event dinner). Doors open 6pm for a 6.15pm start.
