by isleofman.com 11th March 2009

Guest speaker at the next regular Men's Breakfast will be Mr David Walton, Vice President of the Methodist Conference.   A practising lawyer from Manchester, David Walton (pictured) was appointed Vice-President in July 2008.  In the Methodist Church, the President is an ordained minister while the Vice President is a lay person.  During their year of office, both travel extensively throughout the Connexion.

The event will be held on Saturday 28th March at the Hilton Hotel, from 7.30 am to 9.00 am.  The cost of breakfast is ?11 and all men are welcome.  Please reserve a place by emailing mensbreakfast@manx.net or calling David Holmes on 622238.

Mr Walton's primary reason for visiting the Island is to attend the Methodist Synod being held on the same day.

The next event will be the 2009 Island-Wide Breakfast (open to men and women) on Saturday 4th July (same place and time), when the guest speaker will be consultant paediatric surgeon Mr Alasdair Fyfe speaking on 'Encountering God in the Hospital'.
