AXA Isle of Man staff raised ?1,000 for Comic Relief by staging a variety of fundraising events in its offices.

The charity day, held at the company’s offices in Walpole Avenue, Douglas, saw all AXA staff wear something red, pay 20p to use the company lift and contribute to the office swear box if they slipped up.

There was also a caption competition and a raffle with prizes donated from AXA. Thanks go to The Body Shop and En Fin, who contributed prizes, and to Cafe Latte who made cakes to sell at AXA in aid of Comic Relief.

Managing Director of AXA Isle of Man, Mike Foy, said: ‘It was a great day and the staff had fun taking part in the various office fundraising events in aid of such a worthwhile cause. Everyone made a huge effort and we are delighted to be able to show our support in this way.’
