WH Smith says 'no' to Woolworths move

by isleofman.com 31st March 2009
Rumours that WH Smith on the Isle of Man could be taking over the old Woolworths building have been scotched by the firm.

It had been suggested the company had put notice out it was to relocate to the larger Woolworths site across the road.

Some WH Smith stores in the UK have made such a move.

However, the company says there are no such plans for the Douglas store, which will continue to trade at its usual site for the forseeable future.
