New MD relishing challenge of tougher times

Few people would want to be the boss of a bank given the current economic climate, but one Douglas man is doing just that.

Greg Ellison has become the managing director of Barclays Wealth, and will oversee operations in the Isle of Man and on Jersey and Guernsey.

The 34 year-old has played rugby for the England Schools side, and ran the Paris marathon in under four hours last year.

He says he in looking forward to the different sort of challenges involved in running Barclays during tough times:
