New Appointment at Dalrymple Associates

by isleofman.com 6th April 2009

Les Beardon has joined Ramsey-based construction consultants Dalrymple Associates.

Mr Beardon, a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, will develop Dalrymples Associates’ cost management services. This process identifies the costs associated with investment in procurement of land, property and facilities, making informed choices about the options that will deliver best value for money then managing those costs throughout the life of the project. This discipline complements the group’s architectural design, surveying and project management activities.

Mr Beardon joins the business from UK construction and property consultants Arcadis and brings a wealth of both contractor and consultancy experience in civil engineering, building and land development projects, having worked in the UK, Baghdad, Dubai, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong and the USA.

He comments ‘After working in large organisations for many years, I am delighted to have joined what is very much a family business where everyone feels part of a dedicated team. I’ve also found the people of the Isle of Man to be extremely welcoming.

‘I’m particularly pleased to be joining Dalrymples at a time when we are looking to work in partnership with Government and the private sector on projects that will help revitalise the north of the Island.’

Mr Beardon comes from Birmingham and lives with his wife, Joan and daughter, Grace, in Ramsey.
