New Look for Sefton Restaurant

by isleofman.com 6th April 2009

The Sefton Hotel's Gallery Restaurant has re-opened following refurbishment with a fresh look and new menu.

The only restaurant in the Isle of Man to hold two coveted AA Rosettes, The Gallery first opened in 2000 and has since enjoyed consistent success.

It has a large open dining area and further capacity to accommodate private dining parties of up to twenty people. As part of the recent refurbishment, the bar has been relocated to provide a welcoming lounge area for diners.

A wide selection of dishes is enhanced through the use of high quality Manx produce, such as Loaghtan lamb.  The aim of the restaurant is to provide a full dining experience for guests, including Flambe dishes prepared in the room and a selection of home-made ice creams.

The Gallery Restaurant received its second Rosette in November 2008. Two Rosettes indicate restaurants that offer higher standards and better consistency, with obvious attention to the quality and selection of ingredients.

Sefton Hotel Manager Paul Forrest said ‘We are aiming to provide superlative service, comfort and exceptional food cooked by award-winning chefs, led by our Head Chef, Chris Swinden.  Outstanding levels of service are provided by our Restaurant Manager, Mark Vassallo, and his team, who insist on using the finest local ingredients.'

The Gallery Restaurant is open for dinner seven evenings a week.
