by isleofman.com 20th April 2009

Charterhouse Group International has appointed Matthew Huddleston to the position of Chief Financial Officer, it was announced today (Monday 20th April 2009).

Matthew will have overall responsibility for financial reporting and control on behalf of both Charterhouse Group International and its clients.

Matthew said 'Charterhouse adds substantial value to both the local community as an employer, and its global clients as a top quality service provider. Constant innovation is the driving force behind the company’s success. Being involved in this process and continuing to deliver to both the community and our clients is a difficult but exciting challenge, and one I will embrace with gusto.'

Matthew brings a unique skill set to his new role. As well as being a qualified chartered accountant with seven years' experience under his belt, he also has a thorough knowledge of the group, having first joined Charterhouse as an accountant in 2003.

Originally from Birmingham, Matthew moved to the Isle of Man in 1997 for the final year of a marine biology degree with Liverpool University. While studying at the Port Erin laboratory, he met his wife and decided to stay on the Island.

Interested in joining the financial sector, Matthew retrained as an accountant and took his career from strength to strength. 'In the time Matthew has been with us, he has shown a great work ethic, determination to succeed and most importantly a commitment to the company' said Iain Messenger, Chief Executive Officer at Charterhouse Group International.

'Matthew brings a wealth of knowledge to this role as well as a unique enthusiasm to contribute to the success of the company. I’m proud to see him progress and am confident he will be successful.'
